The Team
Scoopl is a business started by students at Wilfrid Laurier University's School of Business & Economics and was a member of the Entrepreneurship Accelerator Program hosted by the school's Schlegel Centre for Entrepreneurship. All of us currently hold positions with organizations who call the KW region their headquarters.
Thusenth Dhavaloganathan
Thusenth holds the position of Handheld Management and Tracking Specialist at Reseach In Motion in Waterloo. Thusenth previously held co-op positions at nGenera (formerly New Paradigm) as a Research Analyst, at Research in Motion, as a Handheld Management and Tracking Associate, and at Pepsi Bottling Group, as a Demand Planner. Thusenth completed his Honours Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Entrepreneurship and a minor in Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University. In his spare time, he likes to look at pretty things, play with gadgets, and drive.
David Cameron
David holds the position of Product Designer at Desire2Learn in downtown Kitchener. David previously held co-op positions as a Research Analyst at nGenera (formerly New Paradigm), as an Associate at Mezzanine Business Consulting, focusing on marketing and Web 2.0 initiatives for their technology clients, and AlertDriving.com – an Internet startup, as Project Manager looking after the internationalization of current products. David completed his Honors Bachelor of Business Administration, and Honors Bachelor of Science in Computer Science double degree from Wilfrid Laurier University. In his spare time, he likes playing with gadgets, gaming, and going for the odd walk in Belmont Village.
Amina Gilani
Amina currently holds the position of Investment Marketing Analyst at Manulife Financial in downtown Kitchener and is a Committee member on the Kitchener Downtown Advisory Committee. She previously held positions at RBC Dominion Securities, The Daggerwing Group, Research In Motion and Bell Sympatico. Amina completed her Honours Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in International Business at Wilfrid Laurier University. She is also a Level 2 Candidate in the Chartered Financial Analyst program. In her spare time, Amina loves to explore her local community, watch tennis and spend time with her friends and families.
